Heart of Midlothian Tonic for Levein

-

After seven successive wins it could be said the international break comes at a bad time, but given our manager’s recent health scare maybe it is a chance to take stock. Saturday’s convincing victory was a perfect tonic for Craig Levein and we are really starting to appreciate his shrewd judgement in sourcing players few had heard of to complement the quality we already had.

Jimmy Dunne looks solid so far. On Saturday, Arnaud Djoum returned and Craig Wighton made his debut. Demetri Mitchell is an extravagantly talented player who looks well suited to an attacking role. Olly Lee’s quality is in danger of being overlooked because of the heroics of others, not least Steven Naismith, and Steven Maclean looks a fantastic addition.
