Clean up your act

For World Clean-up Day on 14th September we are encouraged to pick up litter in our home areas.

I appeal to landowners and farmers to remove old fence materials from their land. Rusty curls of wire, sharp metal bars and rotting stobs are seen all too often along paths flanking property boundaries and fields. They are an eyesore and a hazard to people and animals.

And recreational users of the outdoors are asked not to leave litter.
