Builder rescued from hotel roof
A builder was being treated in hospital last night after being trapped on the roof of an Edinburgh building.
The incident happened around 9am yesterday morning at the former four-storey Howard Hotel on Great King Street.
The man, believed to be in his 60s was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
Another builder was also trapped but he was able to walk down scaffolding ladders after firefighters released him from the roof.
