Second vehicle clocked at more than 140mph

Police in Fife have reported a second driver to prosecutors after a car was seen driving at double the speed limit on the A92.

A silver Honda was being driven at up to 145mph at around 10:50pm on Friday between the Redhouse and Bankhead roundabouts in Glenrothes. A 24-year-old man has been reported for dangerous driving.

On Sunday 2 September a red Volkswagen was driven at 141mph near Cowdenbeath.

Inspector Andy Mather of Fife Road Policing Unit said: “This manner of driving will not be tolerated on the roads in Fife.”
