Macdonald Resorts has hailed its “flexible approach” to the self-catering accommodation market for helping to deliver a sharp rise in bookings.
Between April and July, the resorts arm of the Scottish hotels empire notched up a 25 per cent increase in the number of nights booked across its resort portfolio, compared to the same period last year. The business runs 11 resort destinations in the UK, Spain and Portugal.
The firm said it had recently adjusted minimum stays and
has seen three to five-night stays increasing in popularity as opposed to the traditional week or two-week periods.
Valerie Allison, rentals revenue manager, said: “A 25 per cent increase in rooms booked is testament to the work the resorts team has done to tailor our destinations to the wants and needs of our guests. We have taken onboard feedback, as well as analysed booking patterns, to deliver holidays and short breaks in superb locations with the flexibility our UK holiday makers want.”
