Three killed as car runs into crowd
Three people have been killed and more than 40 injured after a car crashed into a crowd in a public square in central China.
Police have arrested the suspected driver of the red SUV that ploughed into a large group of people in the town of Mishui in Hunan province, the Beijing Youth Daily newspaper said.
Police are investigating the crash. There was no mention of terrorism or any other motive.
A preliminary estimate showed the crash in Hengdong county killed three people and injured 43 others. Police identified the suspect as a 54-year-old Chinese man named Yang Zanyun.
