St Johnstone New challenges

-

Last month’s defeat at Kilmarnock was a downer and clearly irked Tommy Wright, but since then he has been a happier chappie as his newlook squad have started to gel and play a more expansive attacking style.

Tony Watt has filled the void left by the departure of Steven Maclean (who is suddenly recognised by the press for the very good player he always was).

The new challenge for Tommy will be picking a team from a larger quality base; for the players, performing consistently and well enough to stay in the team.

The manager, as always, gets plaudits for his dealings with players – though he can be scary too apparently! Long may he reign in Perth.
