Tower cladding is taken off market
The UK government has asked that a cladding product be removed from the market amid fears it may not be up to its official fire safety standard.
Fears about Vitracore G2 led to fire safety tests and the “immediate action” that has been taken by the Department of Housing, Communities & Local Government. The tests completed on Thursday showed the product being sold on the market differed from the one that passed the certification tests. The product is on at least two UK residential tower blocks above 18m.
