Men charged for petrol station raid during spree
Two men have been charged over a string of housebreakings in Midlothian.
Police stopped a car in Penicuik on Thursday afternoon and subsequently charged the pair. The Audi had been stolen in a housebreaking in Loanhead the previous night.
The charges also relate to a theft from a petrol station and further thefts in the Loanhead and Dalkeith areas. The men, aged 23 and 41, were expected to appear before Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.
PC Declan Hogg said a series of items had been recovered.
