Chairman named for SSE venture

SSE, the Perth-based utility giant, has appointed a chairmandesignate for the new retail business it is creating with rival Npower.

Martin Read is set to chair the energy supply and services company the two firms have agreed to form, subject to final regulatory approval. SSE said work continued to prepare for the listing of the new firm – due to take place by the end of the first quarter of 2019.
