Dressed to kilt: Brave Joanna leads the way as tartan walkers aim to raise more than a million

-

Joanna Lamb, 17, who lives with osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer that only affects around 20 people each year in Scotland and caused her to have a leg amputated earlier this year, was still able yesterday to lead off the Kiltwalk in Edinburgh. She walked the Wee Wander for cancer charity It’s Good To Give, raising thousands of pounds. Joining her on the walk were Sir Tom Hunter, tennis coach Judy Murray and Made in Chelsea star Georgia “Toff ” Toffolo.

The event – which featured three walks of different length – saw 5,000 walkers aiming to raise more than £1m for various charities.
