Hibs and Glasgow City run riot to reach cup semi-finals

WOMEN’S FOOTBALL Holders Hibernian and Glasgow City scored 22 goals without reply as they swept past lower-league opposition to book their places in the SSE Scottish Women’s Cup semi-finals.

They will be joined in tomorrow’s draw by Spartans, who beat Celtic, and Motherwell, who defeated St Johnstone in the ALL-SWPL2 clash. The result of the day was at Ainslie Park where Spartans, who are in a relegation battle with Hamilton Accies, beat Celtic 3-1.

Hibs were 11-0 winners over Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale, who are in the league below them. At New Western Park, Glasgow City routed Renfrew, who play in Division 1 South, two tiers below them, also by 11-0.
