Hamilton Accies Heading down

- Gilbert Mowat

I’ll be blunt; Accies have had a very poor start to the season. Apart from a routine win at Berwick in the League Cup and a fortuitous win at Fir Park, it has been the same old story of drab football resulting in draws and defeats.

It was telling that so few of our fans decided to invest £24 to watch the team at Livingston on Saturday. I was one of those who decided it wasn’t worth it and it appears that my lack of loyalty was vindicated. Changing managers due to poor results is not the way that Accies operate, but while the Board’s loyalty to Martin Canning is commendable it is equally true that we’re in a bad way and potentially heading down on current form. Someone has worked out we’ve managed seven shots on target in five league games; that’s nowhere near good enough.
