Celtic Dust collectors

- Kevin Graham

We returned from the international break with a drab, discordant draw. A draw in which our previous result, a dominating display and a scoreline that didn’t pay tribute to the performance, was proved to be us just dusting round the ornaments on the sideboard.

The dust that has gathered hasn’t gone away. It’s getting thicker and we will eventually be able to write our own names in it. It’s been there since the Invincibles lost their crown. We have only won nine in the last 18 league games and are averaging fewer than two goals a game. While we give things a quick polish in the big games, we soon slope back to the couch, content on box-set binging on former glories.

We need to refresh. It’s not a crisis but it’s a condition.
