Motorcyclist dies after crash with bin lorry

A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a bin lorry.

The rider was heading east along Glasgow Road in Camelon, near Falkirk, when he was involved in a crash with the waste disposal vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.

Emergency services went to the scene where the 49-year-old was pronounced dead.

Police are appealing for information about the incident, which happened at about 7:25am yesterday.

Sergeant David Ross said: “Our sympathies are with his family at this time.”
