Sustainable chic: Designer Arthur Arbesser goes organic for Milan Fashion Week

The Austrian designer took sustainability as his theme, combining basic, raw organic textiles, such as an unfinished linen, with eye-catching sequins arranged in a print.

Many of his creations paid tribute to the world of ceramics which he said represents “rawness and a certain glamour. It is also the process of ceramic, to go from something basic like clay and turn it into something beautiful, like a shiny sculpture”.

He also conceded it could be difficult to remain sustainable.
