Shop Direct falls to full-year loss

Shop Direct has slumped to a full-year loss after the online retailer was stung by costs linked to PPI misselling claims and the closure of three warehouses.

The firm, which owns Very.co.uk and Littlewoods.com, booked a pre-tax loss of £24.7 million in the year to 30 June, which compares to a £24.9m profit in 2017. The retailer is owned by the billionaire Barclay brothers.
