Alloa Athletic Strong foundations
Alloa picked up another valuable point on the road with a goalless draw against Dunfermline last Saturday. Both defences came out on top on the day. Overall, the progression of the team as a defensive unit has been encouraging, with Aberdeen loanee Sam Roscoe slotting into that back four with composure and assurance. The foundations are certainly in place.
In attack, there is a clear requirement to be slightly more clinical in front of goal, and the manager seems to be in the fine-tuning stage with this. He is favouring a fluid front three, with Jake Hastie, Dario Zanatta and Alan Trouten providing a real creative threat. But with other options available, he may undertake a bit of tweaking to try to increase the goal return.
