Partick Thistle Bumps in the road

Saturday’s half-time score painted a picture of a very one-sided game. In truth it was, the problem was it was pretty much all Thistle.

It’s all very well having lots of possession but if you can’t defend cross balls and don’t convertyourchancesthenyou’realwaysgoingto struggle.

It seems we could be in for a season of struggling on the road but doing well at Firhill. Having said all of that, the last thing Thistle need to see this weekend is the sight of Queen of the South’s Stephen Dobbie, who again is on fire.

Stuart Bannigan came off the bench last Saturday after half an hour. He is a very welcome return and indeed was Thistle’s best player.
