Afternoon tea, Tom style
Forget stale scones washed down with a stewed cuppa and book in to Gleneagles in Auchterarder instead. They have announced that Michelinstarred chef, Tom Kitchin, who began his career as a trainee at this five star hotel, will be collaborating on the latest addition to its series of afternoon teas from 1-7 October, £40pp (or £57.50 with a glass of rosé champagne). The food will be inspired by the hearty menu at Kitchin’s Scran and Scallie gastropub in Edinburgh’s Stockbridge, with hearty nibbles including steak pie, curried crayfish, Cullen skink fish cake, lemon meringue pie and treacle tart. n
