The schools pride themselves on providing for young people’s individual, academic, extracurricular and personal needs. They promote the pupils’ welfare, ambition and happiness through the schools’ nine values: integrity, respect, responsibility, appreciation, commitment, kindness, grace, enthusiasm and confidence.

At senior school, the girls attend the Mary Erskine School and the boys, Stewart’s Melville College, taught separately, we believe this allows girls and boys to have more freedom to be themselves, gain confidence and achieve their potential. More than 95 per cent of students gained admission to university for 2017 or 2018.

The schools offer a huge range of extracurricular activities, including 40 music and dramatic events and productions each session, 70 clubs and societies, and numerous sports teams. They also offer unique opportunities such as appearing at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo choir.

Daily coach services are offered across the Lothians and Fife. We offer boarding facilities which provide a happy home from home for children from Primary 6 to Sixth Form. Bursaries of up to 100 per cent of fees are available.
