Situated in the heart of St Andrews, St Leonards is a forward-thinking, co-educational boarding and day school, which offers an outstanding education from five to 18 years.

Thanks to an ambitious £3-million refurbishment programme, boarders live in a stylish country house setting, where bedrooms have sea views beyond the playing fields. The next phase of transforming the boys’ boarding house started in summer 2018. When complete, boarders will benefit from smart, homely communal areas, designed to create a social heart of the house. Full, flexi and weekly boarding is available from age 11 and with the East Sands beach just a two-minute walk from the school grounds, and seven links golf courses on the doorstep, outdoor learning and activities play an important role in school life.

A leading three-tier golf programme enables pupils to combine expert coaching at the St Andrews Links Golf Academy with academic study.

In the sixth form, students follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. For three years running, St Leonards has been ranked by The Sunday Times Schools Guide as the Top Independent School Sixth Form in Scotland for IB/A level results, with leavers going on to study at top universities around the world.
