Serious attack with knife leaves man in hospital

A man has been attacked with a knife in an early hours attack in Rutherglen.

The 36-year-old was targeted in a serious assault between 1:30am and 2am in Strathmore Gardens.

He was taken to University Hospital Hairmyres where he remains in a stable condition. Detective Constable Debbie Walker said: “Officers are currently trying to establish a detailed description of the suspect and have been checking the area for CCTV and making door-to-door enquiries. We are appealing to anyone who lives in the area.”
