Towering ambition for Easyhotel in Blackpool

Easyhotel has outlined a string of recent openings and the acquisition of a site in the popular seaside resort of Blackpool.

The low-cost hotel operator said it was snapping up a site on the town’s famous promenade, where it will build a 103-room establishment.

The group is hoping to take advantage of the fragmented hospitality market in Blackpool, which has traditionally been served by small independent B&BS and hotels. Easyhotel also confirmed that it has opened three further owned hotels in Leeds, Sheffield and Barcelona and two franchised hotels in Reading and Belfast. This takes the number of owned rooms to 1,130 and franchise rooms to 1,938.
