Mcglynn the right fit as he returns to Raith helm

John Mcglynn declared himself a great fit for Raith Rovers after returning to the Fife club as manager.

Mcglynn will succeed Barry Smith and has brought Paul Smith back to the club for a second time as his assistant.

The 56-year-old led Rovers to the Second Division title in 2009 during a six-year spell with the club before leaving to become Hearts boss in 2012. He later managed Livingston and has recently been working as a scout for Celtic.

Mcglynn told Raithtv: “I’ve got a great feeling for the place. Everyone knows my history here previously. It was a successful time for myself and also for Paul.

“That was a big part of me coming back, getting Paul to come with me, because we worked really well as a team and I know I can trust Paul.
