For Queen and country: Hockney shows first ever work done in stained glass

0 David Hockney has unveiled a stained glass window tribute to the Queen at Westminste­r Abbey saying, ‘I hope she’ll like it’. Standing more than eight metres high, the new work is the 81-yearold’s first in stained glass. Designed on his ipad and set in Hockney’s Yorkshire birthplace, it reflects the Queen’s love for the countrysid­e.
