In her letter of 26 September, Gill Turner says she would bet that the EU is more likely to survive and prosper than the UK. Now, there’s a surprise!

She also reminds us that it was all of 37 per cent of the available electorate who voted for Brexit. I’d like to remind her that that figure is actually slightly more than those who voted “Yes” in the 2014 Independence referendum.
