No complaints with regards to Saturday’s defeat to Ayr United, beaten by the better team on the day.

I am loathe to use clichéd phrases such as “punching above our weight”– but there has to be an acknowledgment that being the only parttime club in the league will lead to the odd off day. I’m still firmly of the opinion that this group of players have the ability both individually and collectively to compete in the division, and they have shown this as an overall picture so far.

Saturday’s visitors Falkirk will see a real opportunity to pick up their first result of the campaign but, as with every team on a bad run, a vulnerability exists. Alloa cannot allow them to gain belief and momentum.
