EU gravy train

-

For years the European Parliament has voted to keep details of MEP’S expenses secret. Now the European Court of Justice has backed them in a judgement which will continue to allow them to spend their largesse on anything they want with no receipts or checks required.

In addition to their salary of €102,000 a year each MEP is given € 400,000 a year in allowances which are tax free. When “working” at Brussels they are entitled to €313 per day in subsistence costs. Eurosceptics will not be surprised at the ECJ’S decision; it is only one aspect of this undemocratic, wasteful organisation. WILLIAM LONESKIE

Immigration was one of the major factors that resulted in the UK voting to leave the European Union, but as we have insufficient skills in our own workforce we need to import educated migrants from the rest of Europe to make up the difference.

After we leave the EU we will have control of our borders, which means that if we require doctors, engineers and scientists they will be allowed into the UK, but if we do not need the rapists, the child molesters, the slave traders and the fraudsters, then they will be refused admission, and any

criminals will be requested to leave.

Control means control, it does not mean zero immigration.
