Weather clouds results at RSA
RSA Insurance has warned that weatherrelated losses in the UK have dented profits.
The insurer said that its UK business made an underwriting loss of £70 million in the third quarter as it was stung by higher weather, large losses and attritional claims, particularly in its marine division. RSA said pre-tax profit in the year to date is higher than 2017 but lower on an underlying basis as a result.
