Heroin seized in Orkney as police arrest two men

Heroin worth almost £3,000 has been seized in a car search in Orkney.

The drugs were recovered following a search of a vehicle in the Finstown area on Friday. Two men, aged 36 and 31, have been charged over the recovery. They are due to Kirkwall Sheriff Court today.

Chief Inspector Matt Webb said: “Targeting crime involving drugs is a priority for us to ensure Orkney remains one of the safest places to live.”
