Nairn eatery slips out of Michelin star rankings list

A restaurant in Nairn has lost its Michel in-star rating,the latest list of theuk’ s top eateries has revealed.

Boath House Hotel was one of 15 restaurant­s across the country to have its onestar ranking “deleted”, but no new Scottish eateries made the list.

Albannach in Lochinver and chef Martin Wishart’s eatery at Loch Lomond were also cut from the list after both closed in the past 12 months.

Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles remains the only Scottish restaurant on two stars, but the other eight on the list, including four in Edinburgh, retained their place from last year.

The Scottish capital’s Number One, 21212, Kitchin and Martin Wishart’s Leith restaurant all remain on one star.

Fife had two one-starred restaurant­s on the list, with Anstruther’s The Cellar and The Peat Inn, based in the hamlet of the same name, representi­ng the Kingdom.

Braidwoods in Dalry, Ayrshire, and Loch Bay on the Isle of Skye made up the Scottish contingent.

No new restaurant­s managed to crack the three-star barrier, dominated by Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, but three in England broke into the twostar rated section.
