Heart of Midlothian Big test looming

This week featured progress in the Betfred Cup and another good league victory. It was important to win at the weekend, especially with our current title rivals both doing the same, and we should have made it more comfortable than the slightly nervy last 15 minutes.

The new signings have rightly attracted plaudits, but Michael Smith again showed what an asset he has become. Callumn Morrison added the width so lacking last week and Jimmy Dunne got the goal he deserved. The next run of games will be a true test, away to the Old Firm, home to Aberdeen and Hibs, plus the Betfred Cup semi. Hopefully there is still time to address the SPFL organisational shambles to allow as many fans as possible to attend the cup games.
