No taunts from us says Gallagher

-

Livingston defender Declan Gallagher insists no one on his team taunted Rangers players after their shock win on Sunday.

Gallagher called for respect to be shown after several Rangers players refused to shake hands following their 1-0 defeat at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

The former Celtic youth team player was responding to comments from Rangers captain James Tavernier, who called for his team-mates not to get involved with players “who will try to wind us up”.

The former Clyde and Dundee player wrote on Twitter: “At no point did myself or any other Livingston player seek to taunt Rangers players over the result. However, due to a few Rangers players refusing to shake hands at the final whistle with myself and team-mates things did get heated. We are professional sportsmen who should act and respect our opposite numbers win, lose or draw.” Eurosport 1, 11:15am and 5:55pm
