Country mansion badly damaged in suspicious fire
A fire that extensively damaged a house in Dumfries and Galloway is being treated as suspicious.
The blaze at Park House in Kirkcudbright was discovered around 1pm on Tuesday.
Firefighters spent several hours tackling the flames. Police said the unoccupied home had been left “extensively damaged”.
Detective Constable Garry Mitchell said: “Park House is a large 12-bedroom house, which sits in its own grounds off the A711 to the south side of Kirkcudbright. The property has been unoccupied for some time now.”
