O2 mobile outage causes frustration

-

The O2 phone network was hit by outages across the UK yesterday.

Customers complained online that they could not access data, make phone calls or send messages.

Users in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee reported issues with their mobile phone reception.

O2 asked customers to “reboot your phone to help clear the issue”. Monitoring site Down Detector reported other providers that use O2’s network, such as Giffgaff, had also been affected.
