Souter firm agrees sale of Finnish bus business

The family investment office of Stagecoach Group co-founder and chairman Sir Brian Souter has completed the sale of a Finnish intercity bus operator.

Souter Investment­s said that Onnibus.com, which is credited with revolution­ising the public transport market in Finland, had been acquired by Koiviston Auto.

Onnibus.com was founded by Finnish entreprene­urs Lauri Helke, Petteri Rantala and Pekka Motto in 2012. Following growth capital investment from Souter Investment­s in 2014, the firm relaunched offering a fast Finnish intercity coach network.
