Police launch murder inquiry after man dies

Police have launched a murder inquiry after a man died following an altercation in a house.

Ross Gow, 25, was found seriously injured in bell vue Crescent, Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, at around 4:40am on Wednesday. He was taken to Monklands District General Hospital, but died a short time later.

It is understood he was involved in an altercation with another man in a house in the street earlier that morning. Police are treating the death as murder following a postmortem examination and detectives have appealed for information.
