Organisers of today’s pro-independence march through the Capital were hoping the ban on them holding a rally in Holyrood Park would be lifted

Many overseas visitors will be unaware that this is due to take place. What a terrible impression of our country it will give visitors, especially from other parts of the UK.

This is all incredibly stupid and embarrassing. Independence will be won through the ballot box. Trying to whip up support with this behaviour will most certainly turn many off the idea.

The rule is “no political gatherings in Holyrood Park”. Which part of that are they unable to grasp? The No voters had to reassemble elsewhere in 2014.
