Public warned to stay away from escaped prisoner

Police have launched a manhunt for a prisoner who did not return to jail.

Ross Anderson, who has connections to Edinburgh, was due to return to HMP Castle Huntly near Dundee after home leave but was reported missing yesterday.

Police have warned the public not to approach the 27-year-old.

He is described as being 5ft 11in tall, with short blond hair, blue eyes and a beard.
