Woman killed on country road

A woman has died and two people are seriously injured following a crash on country road near Helensburgh.

The 45-year-old woman was driving west in a Vauxhall Meriva when it was involved in a collision with an eastbound Volkswagen Tiguan on the A818 at Daligan about 9:10am yesterday.

Police said the driver of the Vauxhall Meriva died at the scene. The 71-year-old man driving the Volkswagen Tiguan and a 70-year-old woman are in a serious, but stable condition in hospital.
