Crackdown over school zig-zag lines by council
Yellow zig zag road lines outside schools, which indicate to keep the area clear of parked cars, are to be legally enforced across North Lanarkshire.
At a full council meeting held at the council’s Motherwell headquarters last week, councillors voted unanimously to remove the advisory status from the road markings. The move will allow them to be enforced in much the same way as double yellow lines.
Residents in areas with limited time parking bays will also be issued parking permits so they can park their cars without risk of fines.
