Carriage return

-

The boss of the Scotrail Alliance said customers “don’t care how old their trains are” when he was challenged on carriages on a new high-speed train roll-out being 40 years old. Scotrail Alliance MD Alex Hynes said: “The carriages themselves are up to 40 years old but there is not much left on them that is up to 40 years old.”

He needs to go.

Mad max the Pavement warrior A person who needs to get from A to B does not care how old the mode of transport is, as long as it is on time and gets you there. A customer who pays for first class, however, does care and it depends on what you are charging. If the train taking you from Edinburgh to Glasgow today was 50 years old or you could wait until tomorrow to get the train that was five years old, guess which one every person reading this would take?

I know you know “...as long as it is on time and gets you there”. Completely agree. It’s also nice if the brakes work so that you stop at the correct station.

Oldyun “They have been thoroughly refurbished.” They have not been refurbished at all. They are lying about in sidings with not even the GWR livery changed. Why are they even here as the refurbishment is supposed to be taking place down south?

Jock Tamson Playing the “Trigger from Only Fools & Horses”defence, he said he had the same brush but had 30 new brush heads and 25 new poles. I wonder how many people think painting “Raille Alba”, which must be olde Oirish for Scotrail, was a good use of money? None is my guess.
