Peacefully, in the exceptional care of Strachan House on Sunday, September 30, 2018, aged 95, Margaret, devoted sister of the late Kathleen Smith, dear aunt to Nigel and Joy, proud great-aunt to Alexander, Benjamin, Samuel, Christopher and Nicholas. Friends and associates in the UK and overseas benefited greatly from her deep love of history and politics and her inspirational teaching. Margaret will be sadly missed by many more people than she would have expected. Funeral service to be held at Mortonhall Crematorium, Pentland Chapel, on Monday, October 15, at 1.30 pm.
