Driver dies in crash between car and a van

A man has died in a crash between a car and a van in Inverness.

Emergency services were called to Carse Road at about 3pm on Monday following the collision between a blue Ford Fiesta and a white Volkswagen Transporter.

The male driver of the Fiesta was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness but later died, police confirmed yesterday.

The driver of the van was uninjured.

Officers investigating have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to contact them.
