Bar to keep licence despite noise complaints

-

A Fife bar will keep its licence – despite 28 complaints from local residents in just four months.

Marviks, at 23 Durie Street in Leven, were called in front of the Fife Licensing Board on Monday after council officers recorded three verified instances of excessive noise levels.

Lead officer Douglas Hardaker said: “The PA could be heard from inside a home, resulting in a warning being issued.”

The bar was granted permission to continue with its licence on the condition that it appears at the next licensing board meeting with a progress update.
