Off licence plan for theatre earns fresh criticism

-

The chairman of Kirkcaldy West Community Council has slammed a decision to grant Adam Smith Theatre an off licence.

David Henderson said he was left “questioning the logic” of a desire to sell alcohol from the listed building.

The theatre recently tried to hold a whisky festival, which was cancelled amid licence fears. Mr Henderson said: “This notification made the community council scratch our heads.”
