People’s press?

BBC Scotland is set to launch a “People’s News” programme on its new channel when it launches next year.

Peoples’ News? That sounds like the old Soviet Union.

Joan Simpson What Scotland needs is the same share of its licence fee England/wales get. To make programmes for Scotland and the UK to be shown on normal channels, not a ghetto channel no one will watch. Auld Cynic

Why not put the new channel in the less prominent slot? It’s not as if many folk will want to watch it, anyway. Remember that not all parts of Scotland can get the full range of Freeview channels.

BBC news should ALWAYS be “People’s News”. This BBC Scotland channel has been tried before in the 90s. It was called, BBC Prime Scotland. It was p*sh and this one will be p*sh too. Will they be trotting out the old White Heather Club recordings? I can’t wait.

More “Rivvur City” and “Still Gemm?” Does anyone have the Dignitas phone number?

Miss Dee Meaner at the UK’S highest court over a finding that they discriminated against a customer by refusing to make a cake decorated with the words “Support Gay Marriage”.

For me it’s about the bakers’ right to make the cake or not, why did it have to go to court? If I ask for him to make me a cake saying “Support Protestant Rights” or “Support Sharia Law”, he would have every right to refuse if he so chose. I would then go somewhere else. The person who took this to the courts should be massively fined.
