In a normal situation it would be a real disaster to lose a three-goal lead, particularly when the team are still searching for their first league win of the campaign. But the manner in which Stephen Dobbie clawed Queen of the South back into Saturday’s match at Palmerston really defied logic. Throughout proceedings Alloa shackled him brilliantly, yet somehow he still managed to notch a hat-trick out of openings that couldn’t even be described as half chances.

Despite the lead slipping, there was plenty to be positive about as we ruthlessly exploited Queens’weaknessesearlyon.themidfieldwere excellent, particularly Liam Burt. We should look to build on a really accomplished display – a great response after two home defeats.
