Dundee United Welcome Robbie

With a clarity of thought and purpose that has been missing at Tannadice for quite some time, the appointment of Robbie Neilson as the new manager is a popular one amongst the United faithful.

Neilson will be given more time by the fans to make his mark due to this popularity and any other credible choices for the role will have been ruled out due to the requirement to pay compensation. This role of the dice I would say is critical for the short to medium-term future of the club. If the chairman has got this wrong then we could at best wallow in the mediocrity of the Championship for years to come and at worst the very existence of the club could be at stake.
